AVIATION
Our aviation program is one of the finest in the country. IFBC works hand in hand with Goshen Air Center who has one of the largest training facilities in northern Indiana. They have 7 planes with 7 full- time instructors. With their PCATD (personal computer aided testing device) fully automated electronic flight simulator, Goshen Air Center stands out as a leader in flight instruction not only in fixed wing but also in helicopter training. 3 year program
BIBLICAL STUDIES
BIB 101-R NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY
Survey of the entire New Testament including the historical background of the Inter-Testament period, giving special attention to authorship, content, main events, and the unfolding of God’s written purpose through the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Two Semesters - 2 credit hours each)
BIB 102-R OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY
Survey of the entire Old Testament, giving special attention to authorship, historical background, and the theme of each book. This study traces the history of Hebrew nation from its origin to the time of Jesus Christ.

BIB 105-R LIFE OF CHRIST
Study the major chronological periods in the Life of Christ in connection with the harmony of the Gospels. A thorough study of the harmony of the Gospels will help the student to subjectively piece through alleged contradictions and discrepancies.

BIB 201- GENESIS
A survey course exploring the book of Genesis as the seed bed of all the truth expounded throughout the entire Bible.

BIB 255- ACTS
Analysis of the missionary outreach of the apostolic period with special emphasis on transitional theological problems, the journeys of Paul, and the historical setting of the Epistles.

A survey of the book of Romans exploring the doctrine of Justification.

BIB 257- I & II CORINTHIANS
A verse by verse study of the first and second epistles to the Corinthians.

BIB 260- EPHESIANS/COLOSSIANS
A comparative study of the books of Ephesians and Colossians dealing with the great themes of each book.

BIB 266- HEBREWS
An in depth study of the book of Hebrews as a commentary to the Old Testament and the Levitical Law.

BIB 301-R BIBLE DOCTRINES I
An inductive survey and analysis of major doctrines of the Christian faith: revelation, inspiration of Scripture, God, Creation, Man, Sin. Contains an introduction to important theologians, theological literature, and systems of thought. Special emphasis is given to these topics from the standpoint of the Christian.

BIB 302-R BIBLE DOCTRINES II
A continuation of Bible Doctrines I. An inductive survey and analysis of the doctrines of Christ, the Atonement, Salvation, the Church, and Last Things. Contains an introduction to the important theologians, theological literature and systems of thought. Special emphasis is given to these topics from the standpoint of the doctrinal beliefs of the Christian. Prerequisite BIB 301

BIB 305- PASTORAL EPISTLES
A comprehensive study of the Epistles to Timothy and Titus.

BIB 310- THE PENTATEUCH
A detailed study of the five books of Moses, Genesis through Deuteronomy. Attention is given to the historical material, theological problems, and practical and homiletic values of these books.
(Two Semesters - 3 credit hours each)
BIB 331- HERMENEUTICS
A study of the principles of Bible interpretation, including the history of interpretation; historical, grammatical, literary, theological interpretation; issues related to the various kinds of biblical material (narrative, wisdom, prophetic, didactic); figures of speech, types, etc.. Covenant Theology and Dispensational Theology.

THE 501- SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY I & II
A comprehensive study of the nature and source of the doctrines of Bibliology, Theology proper, Christology, Pneumatology, and Angelology.

A comprehensive study of the nature and source of the doctrines of Hamartiology, Anthropology, Soteriology, Ecclesiology, and Eschatology.

BIB 410- THE BOOK OF DANIEL & REVELATION
Study the eschatological aspects of the books of Daniel and Revelation. One of the most fascinating studies in the bible with industrial applications of hermeneutical principals.

BIB 451- TEXTUAL CRITICISM
A study of the origin and transmission of the Scriptures. “If the doctrine of Divine inspiration is a true doctrine then providential preservation must also be a true doctrine.” Research of underlying Greek and Hebrew texts along with arguments from various different perspectives. Students will leave with a working knowledge of our English Biblical heritage.

BIB 501- PROBLEM TEXTS
This class will focus primarily on alleged contradictions and difficult passages within the Bible. Students will learn to research and apply hermeneutical skills examining apparent contradictions in weights, numbers, dates, and ages; apparent discrepancies and quotations or oversights of manuscript evidence; plus study in salient passages used to prove baptismal regeneration, universal salvation soul sleep, etc... Time will also be spent studying “proof texts” for unbiblical doctrines from Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witness, Calvinism and other religions.

BUS 101- ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT & SECRETARIAL SKILLS
Learn basic secretarial skills and philosophies behind being an effective administrative assistant. Learn proper telephone etiquette, organizational skills and yes, how to make good coffee.

Learn basic money principles on how to make a budget, and the dangers of dept from a Christian perspective.

Learn basic leadership skills from one of the world's most renowned leaders.
Being a leader is a difficult job. Learn how to effectively manage a company using team producing techniques.

Students will work at a local business or in an office at a church as an intern learning on-the-job skills that will enable them to make an easier transition into a leadership position or gainful employment once they graduate.

A study of the manners and customs of Bible times, shedding light on parables and activities of that period.

Biographical sketches of great Christian men and women of the past. An extensive study of the Christian Martyrs along with the corrupt rulers who made them Martyrs,

CED 120- AMERICAN HISTORY
A study of the rise of the United States of America, from a British Colony to the most blessed Country in the world. Includes a study of all the major battles in which America engaged in its fight for freedom.

CED 201- CHURCH HISTORY
A survey of the Christian church from its beginning until the present.

CED 202- BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES
An independent research of 10 different personalities from the history of the Christian church. Fanny Crosby, Jonathan Livinstone, Billy Sunday, Charles Spurgeon are a sample of those a student may chose to study. Students will be required to write biographical essays of each person studied.

CED 205- CREATIVE WRITING
Improve your writing skills with this highly creative, thought provoking writing class. Different techniques and skills are used to help students think out of the box, get over writers block and enhance all writing fundamentals.

CED 210- PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING
A study on how to teach effectively. Includes teaching at different age levels and using audio visuals.

CED 220- AUDIO VISUAL
Learn basic instructions on the use, availability and application of various Audio Visual equipment. Overhead projectors, slide projectors and opaque projectors are a few of the machines covered.

CED 302- PREACHERS AND EVANGELISTS
Read biographical essays on many of the worlds most famous missionaries, evangelists and preachers. Listen to recordings of their sermons. Billy Sunday, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, J. Frank Norris, Dwight L. Moody, Lanny Hasbrook etc.

CED 315- PRIMARY EDUCATION
This is a course on child development and learning, including a perusal of various curriculums and their applications. Audiovisuals, games and other progressive learning tools will be explored and experienced in this class. Opportunities for hands on experience in different educational environments will be available.

CED 325- SECONDARY EDUCATION
This course covers the secondary level of learning. It will explore curriculums, discipline, and basic communication skills. Our instructors have had many years of classroom experience, and will share a wealth of tips and ideas to better your classroom atmosphere.

CED 335- HOMESCHOOLING
This class will take some of the mystery out of the home school class. The student will hear from successful moms on how to balance home life and school life. Creative ideas for teaching, as well as, available resources will be covered. What a child must know at each grade level will also be covered.

Courses numbered below 299 are considered lower-level courses, primarily for Freshman and Sophomores. Courses numbered 300 and above are considered upper-level courses.
Courses and designated with hyphenated numbers (e.g., 111-112) extend through the year and successful completion of the first semester is a prerequisite to enrollment in the second semester.
Courses that extend through the year, but carry credit for either semester, have the course numbers separated by a comma (e.g., 101,102).
